This is the ICICLE community's reference book on learning engineering. Its Introduction, Chapter 1 (Learning Engineering is a Process), and Chapter 2 (Learning Engineering Applies the Learning Sciences) can be downloaded free. Chapter 1 sets out the process model now used across ICICLE: a learner-centered challenge, then creation, implementation, and investigation with data, repeated in cycles. Chapter 2 connects that process to learning-sciences evidence. The paid chapters include Chapter 14 on technology standards as tools, which connects to the xAPI and TLA material in this category.
